Project Description
The Beach Garden created at Cross Road was an exciting project. Its one you will either love or hate, but its a real transformation of a space which is only a stones throw from the beach. It was originally an unused and difficult space to manage in the garden and also presented us with the task of creating some planting beds for screening from the surrounding neighbourhood. The client was keen to create a beach themed garden, which we took quite literally. We cut into the slope and constructed two retaining sleeper walls. Argento Grey Indian Sandstone paving was used to create the steps which became a focal point in the design along with the beach groynes. A classic beach 20mm rounded gravel was spread over the area, whether you love or hate the gravel; once planted the space will really come to life.
