Project Description
The Laurels project was one of our most challenging. Access was very limited with all materials having to be taken through the house. This really made us think about how the garden should be designed and also thought about how the area would be maintained once the project was completed. We had a very small space to work with, but removed the woody hedgerow at the back and replaced it with a stylish Cedar Timber Venetian Screen, which allowed us to gain back a metre of garden. The screen provided a really nice back drop for the simple design and helped make the garden feel wider.
A clay brick paved pathway and seating area were constructed and the garden was finished with a Verde Artificial Lawn. The artificial lawn allowed us to keep some rich green colour on the ground plane which would be very low maintenance and complement the planting scheme which will be added to the garden at a later date.
